    Features

    Intelligent fund

    Flexible splitting

Split a payment into N parts with fixed amounts, percentages, or rules calculated in real time.

    Automatic settlement

Each split settles directly to the corresponding merchant's account. No manual intervention.

    No merchant reconfiguration

Merchants keep their configuration. You only define split rules at the transaction level.

    Real-time distribution

Funds are distributed at the moment of approval. Full visibility in the dashboard.

    Full traceability

Each split has its own transaction ID, status, and history. Complete audit trail.

    Multi-currency and multi-country

Splits between merchants in different countries with automatic conversion and local currency settlement.

    Edge cases

    Reversals, failures, and exceptional scenarios

When a parent transaction fails or a partial reversal is requested, the system propagates the state change to each split atomically. No funds in limbo or orphaned splits: each recipient receives exactly what they're owed or their portion is reversed in a controlled manner.

    Partial reversal

If a portion of the amount is reversed, Akua recalculates the distribution and adjusts each split proportionally or according to the rule you define (FIFO, priority, custom).

    Authorization failure

If the parent transaction is not approved, no split is executed. The complete state remains as "declined" with traceability of the rejection reason.

    Chargeback

The chargeback is assigned to the corresponding split. If it involves multiple merchants, it's distributed according to the liability rules configured in your account.

    Settlement timeout

If a recipient cannot receive funds (invalid account, exceeded limit), the split is held with "pending_retry" status and automatically retried for 72 hours before reverting.
